Day 26 in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua

9:00 am-

The kids woke up in great moods and played until we left the house. We made a plan for Sunday knowing we have a big travel day ahead of us.

12:00 pm-

We ventured into town and found a little pizza shack. The pizza was good and cheap. We are for a total of $13.50. After that we walked around the city and just enjoyed the little town. San Juan Del Sur has become one of my favorite places on this trip. It is very laid back and people are very friendly. Most things are cheap, good food, and there is a beach. We past a little donut shop and the kids begged for a donut. They got a half chocolate and half vanilla donut with sprinkles. They loved it, they are little donut addicts. We went back home for a few hours. Nobody felt like doing anything.

6:30 pm-

We left the house to go have dinner. We went to The Beach House restaurant. They had wooden swings at the bar instead of stools. The set up was so cozy with lights and hammock chairs. They had a area that you could sit and look at the ocean the ocean and enjoy drinks. We set at this huge wooden table that over looked the beach. The sun was setting and it was amazing. I had a watermelon and chia margarita and Ben had their special drink, they were both delicious. They special made the kids chicken fingers, which the kids loved. Ben ordered the steak sandwich and I had the jalapeño chicken. We all loved our dinner. We had two more margaritas and just enjoyed the ambiance.

8:30 pm-

We went to back to the house and packed up our things. We have to get up early to avoid the traffic for crossing the border.

Our plan tomorrow is to take a bus to San Jose from the border. We leave for home on Wednesday and don't want to rush the journey back. Just getting closer to the airport. Last time the border was crazy and very expensive. We have done our research on it this time, no more scammers for us. We hope to leave around 6:00 am.
