Day 2 in Panama City
4:00 am-
We got up to get ready for the train ride and to pack up our stuff. The kids were groggy but were good because they they were excited about the train. We hired an Uber and hit the road around 5:40. Traffic was terrible. The worst I have ever seen, it took is 2.5 hours to get to the train station when it should have only take 40 minutes. Needless to say we missed the train.
8:15 am-
We decided to go grab some breakfast and decide what to do instead. We went to El Mundo del Pan for breakfast. Their breakfast croissant and latte was AMAZING. Best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The kids even enjoyed it so that's saying a lot.
9:00 am-
We decided to go to Miraflores Locks and see the ships go through the canal. It was packed with people, so much so that we could not even watch the ships pass through.
10:00 am-
It was raining really hard so we couldn't go hiking and it was too early for check in so we went to the mall. The mall was huge, over 500 stores. Every turn u made there were just more stores. We went ahead and ate lunch there since we were waiting for the rain to stop.
12:00 pm-
We left the mall and went to a Canopy Towers Trail. We coated our self in bug spray and set off exploring. Five minutes into the walk we spotted a sloth and a few poisonous dart frogs. The kids loved it.
3:00 pm-
We left and went to check into our home. It was really nice place, and we actually had warm water. The night before we all had to take cold shower and that was not fun. We all rested and napped a little.
6:30 pm-
Dinner was not either of our favorites, we went to Tacos le Neta. The kids had some really good chicken quesadillas. The soup we had was really tasty too. But we didn't care for the tacos. We took the kids for froyo and spent way more than expected.
8:00 pm-
We went back home and took warm showers and went to bed.
Trying out the bus system tomorrow. Heading to Boquete, Panama. I will post pictures when I get wifi.
