Day 19 in Playa San Diego, Nicaragua

8:30 am-

We woke up and the kids were dying to get to the beach. We cooked some breakfast and headed outside. It was perfect, exactly what we were wanting. The kids played in the water for about an hour and then we walked down the beach. We found little sand crabs and the kids collected tons of shells. We turned around when they started getting hungry.

1:30 pm-

We had a small lunch and taught the kids some card games. We played war with the little ones and tried to teach Cali how to play hearts. We needed a little break from the sun. We were all a little pink from the sun, with sunscreen. Swinging in the hammock was my personal favorite.

3:00 pm-

We walked back out to the beach to see the waves, they sounded a lot bigger. They were rolling in, the kids would sit on the beach and let the waves crash over them. It was their fun little game, most of the waves would push them up the beach 5-10 feet. They thought it was so fun. After about an hour they kept getting stronger so we would help hold the kids and they would still go sliding. We all were laughing so hard, by far one of our best days we have had so far.

5:30 pm-

We went up to the house to make dinner and the kids rinsed off in the outside shower. We had pieces shells and sand everywhere. We had to hurry so we could watch the sunset over the beach. I had been wanting to see the sunset the whole trip and it was well worth it.

7:00 pm-

We went back in the house and all showered. It took forever to get the shell pieces and sand out of all of our hair. We were all exhausted from fighting the waves and being in the sun. We had a early night and just relaxed.

Tomorrow we are heading to Leon, Nicaragua to do some exploring.
