Day 15 in Punta El Coco, Nicaragua
7:00 am-
I was able to enjoy the beautiful view with the sound of the ocean, all before anyone woke up. It was very relaxing minus the mosquitoes that wouldn't leave me alone.
9:00 am-
Everyone joined me outside and we just hung out drinking coffee and the kids ate cereal. I was able to catch on some work and wash some clothes.
10:30 am-
We headed to the beach, Ben had us following a dog to the beach. He said the dog knew where she was going. Somehow we made it to the beach. It was beautiful and very empty. The kids played in the water and build castles. They found neat shells and a hermit crab they named Hermie.
1:00 pm-
We headed back to the house because the kids were "starving" as they called it. We had bacon, eggs, and toast. The bacon was way different than what we are used to but it was good. The kids all made a happy plate and asked for more. for the rest of the day we just hung out at the house playing games or doing puzzles. We have been going full force the whole trip and it was nice to have just a relaxed day. The kids didn't complain about being bored at all today, they found things to do and didn't ask for their tablets. Maybe we are headed in the right direction for them.
7:00 pm-
We ate what food we had left over from the grocery store. We had grilled cheeses (the cheese wouldn't melt so we didn't really eat it), rice, pineapple, and bananas. I know not the best food but we all managed. They store is a 30 minute ride from here and nobody wanted to leave, so we are what we had.
Tomorrow we are heading to Granada, Nicaragua. There are lots of things to do there, especially with kids. Maybe a chocolate tour, carriage ride, zip lining, touring the old buildings, and so on. I guess we will wait and see what comes next.
