Day 11 in La Fortuna, Costa Rica
8:30 am-
We all got up and packed all of our things, today is a traveling day. We had to walk to the bus stop and catch the bus to Limon. We reserved a car because it was cheaper than paying for a shuttle for 5 people. A shuttle would have cost us around $300, the rental car cost us $228.
11:30 am-
We picked up the rental car and everyone was starving, so we found a subway. Ben had fun ordering the sandwiches. He learned some new words like pickles, turkey, and etc.
12:30 pm-
We headed to our destination. There were plenty of little fruit stands on the sides of the road the whole trip. We stopped and got to coconut waters, they were really refreshing ($1.00 for 2). We stopped and got 3 pineapples for $2, they are the best looking pineapples I have ever seen. I can wait to try one.
6:00 pm-
We arrived in La Fortuna, and we didn't have a place booked. It was a little stressing for a bit but it actually worked out for the best. We found this great little hotel with a/c for cheap ($50). So far one of the best places we have stayed at (San Bosco Inn).
7:00 pm-
After we checked into our hotel we went to find some dinner. We stopped at Latinas Pizza. The kids enjoyed having pizza for dinner. It was a small little restaurant out side and it was pretty busy. This is definitely a tourist area, there was traffic everywhere.
8:00 pm-
We took the kids swimming in the pool at our hotel. They had a blast and wore their self out. They came back to the room and passed out.
Tomorrow we will be going to Arenal Volcanic National Park and maybe a waterfall/hot spring.
